We tried this for the first time this week, and I will never again live without it! It is so much fun to play with. You can paint, splatter, pour, drip and throw it, and it is even taste safe for the littlest members of your family.

The chalk paint gets progressively brighter as it dries

Materials

  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • Water soluble food or soap color
  • 1/2-1cup Water

Simply mix up all the ingredients and you’ve got yourself some chalk paint! You can add more or less water depending on preference. We made ours with more water and had a great time pouring and stomping around in it.

You can put chalk paint in different squirting and spraying bottles

You can freeze up a batch of this paint in ice cube trays and stick popsicle sticks in for some paintsicles to enjoy playing with the next day.

I hope you enjoy this as much as we did! Have fun painting!
