This process based art play is a great way for your under 1 year old to experience painting without the mess. Big siblings LOVE to help with this one, also.

Materials
- Gallon ziplock bag
- Paper
- Paint (we use washable tempera)
- Masking tape to tape bag to floor

Instructions
- Set up the paint play invitation by putting some paint on a piece of paper and sliding it into ziplock bag, then closing tightly and securely taping to the floor.
- Model the possibilities of how to use the materials
- Let your baby explore.

Ms. 9.5 months has been exploring painting using this method since she was about 3 months old.
Have fun!
